Though the hot, humid days of August does not quite signal the end of summer, we feel there's no better time for a Luau party. So close your eyes and just imagine a cool, light tropical breeze, white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue water and lots of great Polynesian food and entertainment. Now open your eyes, (snap yourself back to reality) and join us for the next best thing this side of the Mason-Dixon Line . To help get you into the spirit of things, dress up in your most colorful Hawaiian printed clothes (the louder the better) and be prepared to have some of the best fun you've had all summer long. We'll hold prizes for the traditional Hula and Limbo contests and for the best dressed individuals and couples. Also, lots of great music and general dancing as usual!
We realize we can't actually bring a beach inside the studio, but we will transform it into such a tropical paradise that perhaps you won't notice. And I think we can all agree that we would prefer a wooden floor to dance on than a sandy beach. To help elevate this event to greater heights, we ask that each of you bring a Polynesian dish to. This is to help appease the “Great Tiki Dance Spirits (commonly known as hungry dance instructors). But if your culinary skills don't include exotic delights, then don't worry, (be happy) and just bring whatever you like. Above all, just be sure to bring yourself, you'll be so glad you did! |
