Open House Guest Party

August 16 th , 2005

7-8:30 PM

It's time to have an open house just for people interested in taking dance lessons. This special party is planned for your neighbor, friend, co-worker, etc. who has expressed a desire to learn how to dance. This special evening will begin with a simple yet very fun and entertaining class to show some basic dance steps. We will then demonstrate the various levels of dance from beginner to advanced. This will be followed by a “sample” dance party which will include some light refreshments. Our intent is to spend a relaxed and fun evening with friends and to introduce them to the exciting world of dance. The evening is open to the public. To register, please call 615-333-1551.

“Luau” Dance Party

August 12 th , 2005

Though the hot, humid days of August does not quite signal the end of summer, we feel there's no better time for a Luau party. So close your eyes and just imagine a cool, light tropical breeze, white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue water and lots of great Polynesian food and entertainment. Now open your eyes, (snap yourself back to reality) and join us for the next best thing this side of the Mason-Dixon Line . To help get you into the spirit of things, dress up in your most colorful Hawaiian printed clothes (the louder the better) and be prepared to have some of the best fun you've had all summer long. We'll hold prizes for the traditional Hula and Limbo contests and for the best dressed individuals and couples. Also, lots of great music and general dancing as usual!

We realize we can't actually bring a beach inside the studio, but we will transform it into such a tropical paradise that perhaps you won't notice. And I think we can all agree that we would prefer a wooden floor to dance on than a sandy beach. To help elevate this event to greater heights, we ask that each of you bring a Polynesian dish to. This is to help appease the “Great Tiki Dance Spirits (commonly known as hungry dance instructors). But if your culinary skills don't include exotic delights, then don't worry, (be happy) and just bring whatever you like. Above all, just be sure to bring yourself, you'll be so glad you did!

Upcoming Showcase of Stars

Our second annual showcase is scheduled for Saturday evening, September 10 th . We have planned an evening showcase in order to capture the special “magic” of night performances.
